Photographer & Educator
With nearly 15 years of experience in photography, my practice has evolved through a continual exploration of identity, culture, personal experience, and the stories that shape the world around us. I am interested not only in what drives my own creative practice, but also in understanding the experiences, perspectives, and untold stories of others.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Digital Photography from Ravensbourne University London, where I graduated with First-Class Honours. My work has been exhibited on several occasions, with pieces held in private collections and galleries. Alongside my artistic practice, I teach photography and art at a secondary school in South East London, where I encourage young people to experiment, think critically, and develop their own creative voices.
Education has strengthened my belief in the importance of creativity beyond the classroom. I have a particular interest in mental health and wellbeing, and the role art and photography can play in supporting self-expression, confidence, and personal growth. I believe creative subjects are an essential part of education, offering young people opportunities to explore their identities, communicate ideas, and make sense of the world around them. I am passionate about championing the arts and ensuring creativity remains a valued part of young people's lives.
Born and raised in London, with a strong connection to my Irish heritage, my work is shaped by the cultural, social, and personal experiences that have influenced my life. Family, politics, religion, music, and inherited stories all inform my practice, often leading me to explore the relationship between personal identity and wider social narratives.
My work is driven by a curiosity about what lies beneath the surface: the stories that go unheard, the perspectives that are overlooked, and the connections that shape who we are. Through photography, I seek to explore these ideas while developing a deeper understanding of my own place within them. Whether creating work or teaching others, I remain passionate about the ability of visual storytelling to challenge perspectives, encourage reflection, and connect people through shared experiences.
